Hopeful Update: PET Scan, Labs, and Keytruda Progress
We’ve reviewed my mum’s latest PET scan and lab results, and there’s a lot to share, some of it may be surprisingly hopeful. - The gastric lesion in her stomach has slightly decreased in activity (SUV down to 3.2). - No new widespread cancer activity was seen. - There’s one small new spot in the retroperitoneal area near the left adrenal gland (SUV 5.0). - Her albumin is normal (44), so ascites or major liver issues are unlikely. - Lymphocytes are a bit lower than before but still functional. - B12 and folate have dropped substantially since starting metabolic therapy. - Monocytes have increased significantly compared to previous labs. - CA125 has only increased slightly — from 290 to 334 over 3 months since starting metabolic therapy. What these lab changes could mean: B12 and folate drop: Metabolic therapy, especially when combined with dietary changes like keto, fasting, and certain drugs or supplements, can increase cell turnover and alter gut absorption. In cancer, a drop in these nutrients can also happen when the immune system is more active, because they are needed for DNA synthesis during immune cell proliferation. Monocyte increase: Monocytes are immune cells that can mature into macrophages and dendritic cells — both key players in identifying and attacking cancer cells. An increase can indicate heightened immune surveillance or an inflammatory immune response. In the context of Keytruda, higher monocyte activity could mean the immune system is mobilising against tumour tissue. Small CA125 rise: CA125 can go up temporarily when tumours are being attacked and broken down. This small rise suggests there’s no explosive tumour growth and that any increase may be linked to immune or inflammatory activity rather than rapid progression. Chemo recovery and immune rebound: My mum stopped chemotherapy last year. Chemo can profoundly suppress the immune system, reducing white blood cell counts and impairing immune coordination. It can take months to over a year for some immune subsets to fully recover. This is one reason why the effects of Keytruda may strengthen over time — her immune system is still in the process of rebuilding its strength and diversity after chemo. The fact that we’re now seeing increased monocytes and immune activity may mean her body is finally regaining the ability to mount a stronger response.

Hi Bernardo is your mom healing from an Ovarian Cancer diagnosis? Has she had a Caris or Tempus report done (likely after a surgery) this would help identify her tumor pathways. This is my area of help I’m happy to take a look and offer some suggestions if you’d like. I was diagnosed Stage 4 HGSC OC June 2023 and my 73 yr old mom was diagnosed 9 months before me. We are both NED by blocking tumor pathways and using the cell suppression theory from Mark Lintern.

@Bernardo Henriques the supplement AHCC taken at a therapeutic dosage 4-6 g daily is very powerful against HPV and P16 markers. You can find it on Amazon or your local health food store. Also Berberine 1500 mg per day is another one you might want to look into.
Which of these cancer-fighting strategies do you believe makes the biggest difference?
Many people following metabolic cancer therapy protocols combine diet, supplements, repurposed drugs, and oxygen-based therapies. If you could only choose one approach, which do you think has the greatest impact on outcomes? Your vote and comments help us see what’s resonating most in our community. I think the answer depends on what cancer diagnosis you are fighting. In the gynecology arena keto sometimes isn’t the best option and I don’t think it’s possible to get to NED without repurposed drugs so that’s why I chose that option.
Turkey Tail tincture
First time i’ve taken 2ml turkey tail tincture (in alcohol) and im feeling twinges in my abdomen in different areas. Has anyone else tried it and what did you feel?

How many grams is in your 2ml’s dosage? Many of the women I work with who’ve had surgery after taking high dose Turkey Tail have mentioned the tumor shriveled up. So maybe you are feeling some of that if you are in the 4gram -6gram dosage range
Breast Cancer - I wrote up for 2 friends diagnosed this week
I have had two close friends diagnosed with breast cancer (2 different types) this week, and I wrote this up and shared it with them. Your mileage may vary, these are my opinions, and I am not any version of medical, just a fellow breast cancer being who has been studying. I know similar kinds of information have been shared here in this group and I hadn't seen what I have written, a current breast cancer from the beginning write up for someone brand new to all of this, so I wanted to share it in case it's useful to anyone early on. I also shared some of this in my story shared here, because I did most of it myself! May your journey be fruitful and filled with bits of joy and awe along the way. Cheers, Michelle Biggest news - cancer testing through blood work in current trials in the USA. This can be very useful in early diagnosis, diagnosis, and treatment to see if the treatment you choose is working. For more information call Dr. Tate 99% accurate so far and very new so your current team may not be familiar with it. Please let her know Michelle Love from Puerto Rico gave you her number when you call. +14809551094 I'm not a doctor, and everyone is different, what worked for me may not work for you or anyone else and both our bodies and our priorities in life are different. All of this is just FYI in case it helps you or someone you love. Best book to read right away after a diagnosis is Cancer Resolution by Mark Lintern and go to the website and download and give to your oncologist the synopsis of this book, a much shorter PDF to share. (both PDF for oncologist and questions for oncologist are currently at this link https://www.cellsuppression.com/essential-questions-to-ask-your-oncologist ) My personal view of cancer is that it can often be managed as a chronic illness. There are a few cancers that respond very well to chemotherapy and radiation, but if yours is not one of them, you may want to look into alternative and off label therapies right from the start. If you have a cancer that has already metastasized (moved from its original location) western medicine basically sucks and does more harm than good at that point, in my opinion. This is coming from a quality of life over quantity of life perspective, along with the belief that long term remission is possible, and more likely without chemo or radiation.

Mark Lintern’s book is at the top of my lists too when writing protocol recommendations! For a breast cancer diagnosis high dose Turkey Tail is also at the top of the list. 4-6 grams daily it’s a bc killer, immune booster and works synergistically with all chemos. Here’s a great Ted Talk about it! https://youtu.be/pXHDoROh2hA?si=WyJtpZr1RptuMsFU
The Cancer Resolution by Mark Lintern
Hi I’m Vanessa! I healed my body with many off label meds and supplements while doing standard of care treatments. I have no affiliation with this book other than Mark Lintern and Jane Mclellend’s How to starve cancer book both helped to save my life. Here is a free synopsis of The Cancer Resolution if you’re interested. I went from stage 4 to Ned in 7 months from high grade Ovarian c. Cell suppression and blocking tumor pathways is how I healed my body.

@Stuart Briscoe I started by learning what my tumor pathways were. I learned about what specifically fed the cancer in my body. I learned this by getting my surgery pathology genetics and from makers notated on a biopsy. This send me down a wild path that has me now taking about 30 things a day to stay cancer free because I researched what blocked those pathways.
