A Reflection on My 2025 – A Year of Fire🔥, Growth🌱, and Rebirth🤍
This is a part of my reflection on the past year that I wanted to share with everyone here. I’ve been working hard my whole life. I’ve always been recognized for being independent, determined, and committed. I immigrated to Canada with almost no money, studied as a self-funded international student for a year, and—through hard work and high grades—I earned a place in one of the most competitive research labs at my school.💪 I was the only student in the lab who wasn’t from Tehran, Sharif, or Amir Kabir… And the first thing my lab mates said to me was: “How did Hassan even accept you into his team?!”🙄 Before graduation, I secured a research position at one of Montréal’s most prestigious hospitals. I started my first Canadian job immediately after, and today marks seven years of being in this role. But here’s the truth… All those years of hard work, talent, and survival instinct were being spent fighting different battles—emotional, personal, and internal. Because of that, for the first five years of my career, I invested almost zero energy in actually building or advancing my career. I was only surviving...💔 Then, almost two years ago, a huge fire was ignited in my life. It changed everything. Again...🔥 I survived it with the help of my personal coach, Mrs. Solmaz Barghgir, who took my hand at a time I could have completely collapsed. I walked through that fire, came out alive, and healed wounds I thought would stay forever.❤️‍🩹🙏 And after feeling better again, I wanted the same transformation in my career. So about a year ago, I began applying and interviewing here and there. It was never easy. I was disappointed countless times. I gave up more than once…😞 Until I found this community.🤍🌱 If that challenge in early 2024 was a fire, then I survived it with Solmaz holding my hand, walking me through flames that could have burned me completely. I survived, healed, and felt alive again.❤️‍🩹 And now, this job-hunting and career-advancement journey feels like crossing a mountain trail, climbing step by step toward the summit with the guidance of Alex, and the firm support holds of this community keeping me steady.✨

And now the new format… 🎯 Introducing the Interview Gym by AlexMasters A weekly practice system inspired by Toastmasters and Alex’s coaching method, designed to strengthen your interview muscles step by step. Here is what the new structure includes: 1. Tuesday sessions at 6 PM Moved based on your feedback so the energy, focus, and participation stay high. 2. Everyone is welcome to join Even if you want to join as a listener, you are invited. Listening helps you learn the structure, see examples, and gain confidence. You can participate more actively whenever you feel ready. 3. A core group for active roles We will keep a smaller circle of members who want deeper practice. These members will take Toastmasters-style roles each week like Speaker, Timer, Evaluator, and Table Topic Master. 4. No more worrying about summarizing your audio files, videos, articles, books, or documents
AI technology has changed my life totally. Every day, I look for ways to use this amazing tool to the fullest. About a month ago, I realized that during my workday, which is around 9 to 11 hours, I have to read a lot of reports and guidelines, watch a few recordings and listen to many recorded audio files from meetings with clients and PMs, even reading the software tutorials/manuals and create summaries. I also need to review junior engineers’ reports, review and revise them, and send them to the client. Over the past month, I had to read two very thick books, around 1,000 pages in total, for a difficult exam. I thought to myself: I’m getting a lot of stress; I don’t have time for all this. What should I do? So, I Googled, and I found this wonderful tool: https://notebooklm.google/ It helped me so much. You might not believe it, but it completed six months’ worth of work for me in just one month. I fell in love with it, and I’m sharing it here in case it can help you too. Within its website overview, you can see this text: Upload PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, audio files, Google Docs, Google Slides and more, and NotebookLM will summarize them and make interesting connections between topics. I have been using this for a month and got a lot of results. Working with this tool is very simple; you just need to upload your video, YouTube link, documents, text, audio file, slide, website URL, and so on, then get your summaries in flow charts, slides, flash cards, text, overviews, etc. Just take a look at it and enjoy.
