I am glad you chose to offer this additional meditation meet-up @Anna Choi! I am looking forward to attending and using this meditation meet up as an additional support for me to extend my mini silent retreat for myself to enjoy throughout the weekend, along with the winter solstice! ☯️🌑
Living Meditation (Mojo Monday Challenge 17)
What are ways to make meditation a lifestyle? You don't have to sit on a mat in silence to formally meditate. If you cultivate enough mindful moments over the day, it's as if your brain is in a constant living meditation. Mindful moments are anytime you bring your conscious awareness to the present moment. For this week, practice Living Meditation = Many Mindful Moments Strung Together 1. Moment 1: Pick a habit that's a mundane activity (brushing teeth, etc.) to be mindful and bring conscious awareness to. Focus on the body sensations generated by the activity you are doing. If you are washing dishes or showering, the water on your hands. If you are walking, the feet on the ground, etc.  2. Moment 2: Pick a stressor (something mild, annoying, etc.) to be mindful and bring conscious awareness to. 3. Let us know how last week went for Mojo Monday Week 16 here. 4. @Margo Hammond Wonderful example of putting in the practice and thank you for sharing your experience! I am inspired to carve out this time with myself to be and enjoy some time in silence with myself, as I wrap up the year and prepare to move into the new year📅.

I have scheduled my silent retreat for this coming weekend, and will plan a couple mindful moments to include living meditation when I enter into silence, and ending a silent period. For my mini silent retreat, I will focus on my body sensations and practice living meditation and NOW observations.😑
Power of Silence (Mojo Monday Challenge 16)
Have you ever taken a vow of silence? What if I were to tell you silence is one of the greatest access points to calm the mind? As I attend my 3rd 10 Day Vipassana Silent Meditation Retreat this Wednesday, this week's challenge is to take a vow of silence for any period of time that works. Ideally it's at least a full day if not 2 days, but a half day for a few hours could work. MOJO MONDAY CHALLENGE 16: 1. Watch the video below on how to take a Vow of Silence/Silent Retreat. If you accept this challenge, comment below WHEN you'll take your retreat, where, and for how long. 2. Let us know how last week went for Mojo Monday Week 15 here. 3. I will think about when I can possibly do this sometime this month. I am quite an introvert to start with, so the idea of carving out a day or more to be silent with myself sounds wonderful, even though I've never taken a vow of silence! I am in Nicaragua now, and there is very little privacy and so much socializing that goes on daily. I think I will have more success being silent for a longer period of time when I return to California later this month. I will come back to this when I schedule my mini silent retreat.

I am going to practice a silent retreat for a minimum of 4 hours on the weekend coming up with the new moon, on 2-3 days. I will take advantage of some scheduled travel and downtime I have on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am scheduling 4 hours to make it achievable, with the secondary goal or hope that one or two days I'll be able to enjoy a full 8 hours in nature with myself and some journaling and art supplies. 🏞️

Hi @Alyne Padilla, looks like there was no meeting today. Sorry you were waiting on it. I also saw it on the calendar, but was not available to log on at that time; and just now I went in to the zoom account to see if a meeting or partial meeting was recorded from today that I can share a link to and there isn't. I hope you have a wonderful evening, and we'll see about tomorrow's meeting in Anna's absence.
