👋 START HERE — Welcome to Digital HomeSkool
If you’re new, this is the only post you need to read first. Digital HomeSkool works differently to normal learning its project-based, hands-on, and built around real skills kids actually use. 🔑 How This Works - Kids don’t just watch lessons — they make things - Every unit ends with a finished project - Parents post the work (kids don’t need accounts) - Progress matters more than perfection If your child creates something, they’re doing it right. 🧠 The Core Skills (Do These First) Before jumping into big projects, we recommend kids learn the basics. Start with: 1. AI Image Generation – giving clear instructions to AI 2. AI Vibe Coding – turning ideas into simple apps 3. Graphic Design Cava – templates, text, images, exporting - COMING SOON 4. AI Chat Bot – Learn how to use and create GPTs using Chat GPT - COMING SOON 5. Video Editing Canva – Edit videos and add audio - COMING SOON These skills power every other unit. 🖼 How to Share Your Child’s Work Parents, this part is important. When your child finishes a project: - Upload an image, video, or screenshot - Add a short caption: That’s it. No long explanations needed. 🛡 Safety First - Kids don’t message or post directly - No personal details in projects - AI is a tool, not always correct - Parents stay involved This is a family-safe learning space. 🎯 Our Goal We want kids to: - Create, not consume - Build confidence with tech - Learn school subjects through real projects - Have fun while learning skills they’ll actually use You’re in the right place.

🎨 Daily Creative Challenge Day 2
Today’s challenge: Create your own inspirational colouring-in sheet using AI. 🖊 What to do 1. Pick your favourite saying or quote (short is best). 2. Copy the prompt below. 3. Replace the words inside the quotation marks (" ") with your chosen saying. 4. Generate your image at https://ideogram.ai/ 5. Download it and share it in the comments. 🤖 AI Prompt (Edit the Quote Only) A black and white line art illustration designed for an adult colouring book features the inspirational quote "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." presented in a large, hand-lettered style with chunky outlined letters adorned with whimsical swirls, sparkles, and stars, perfectly centred on the page. The background is a dense, symmetrical pattern filled with intricate details, including mandalas, stylised florals, paisleys, hearts, clouds, stars, abstract waves, geometric doodles, and rays of light, all arranged to create a visually rich and energetic composition. Utilising clean, crisp vector-style black outlines with varied line weights throughout, the illustration ensures clear separation between elements and offers an uplifting, stress-relieving colouring experience. 💡 Tips - Keep your quote short and meaningful - Choose black & white for the best colouring results - Try a second version if the text looks messy 📸 Share Your Work Post your finished colouring page below 👇

👋 Hi, I’m Kayla — welcome to Digital HomeSkool
I’m a homeschooling mum of seven and a long-time digital business owner. After years of creating online tools and teaching creative skills, I’ve learned that kids learn best through real projects - especially when those projects use the digital platforms they already love. That’s why I created Digital HomeSkool. Here, children still learn core subjects like History, Geography, Science, PDHPE, Maths, and Commerce - but through short, engaging activities that use AI tools, video creation, Canva, CapCut, ChatGPT, and modern digital skills. They get to create, design, explore, and problem-solve while building the future-ready skills they actually need. Kids stay engaged, and Parents see real progress. If you want homeschooling to feel lighter, more modern, and something your child genuinely looks forward to, you’re in the right place. Welcome to Digital HomeSkool 💙✨
