***NOTE*** Go to "Classroom" and then to "Exposure Therapy" to truly begin.
The greatest gift you can give another writer is your attention. Exposure Therapy allows members to submit their work for feedback from the Writer Therapy community, but that's useless if no one gives them feedback. That's why you are the key :-)The goal here is to streamline the process. To make it easy for you and for the writer to get clear answers about their writing. We may refine this process as we continue, but here is how you can give feedback to your fellow writers.
RULES:
- The Golden Rule - treat others the way you want to be treated. But if you like being treated like a jerk, then maybe Exposure Therapy isn't for you ;-)
- Give thoughtful, useful feedback. It takes a lot to put your work out there, give writers the respect they deserve.
- While thoughtful, also be concise. We want actionable feedback that won't create analysis paralysis.
- Again, seriously, don't be a jerk - you'll get booted.
STEPS:
- Treat it like a course. Go to the "Classroom" tab and then to the "Exposure Therapy" course.
- In the course page, you'll find "Chapters" or folders, each containing one submission from our members. They will be numbered for your convenience–the newest ones will always be on top.
- Go through each "lesson" in order, check them off as you go. The first lesson in every Chapter/Folder will always have a PDF that you can view or download.
- Go through the Feedback lessons X.1 through X.4 and add your comments to the requested feedback. This will give our community members an organized way to consume your thoughtful feedback.
- Pat yourself on the back. You did something really special for a fellow writer.
