I feel you on leaving the unproductive videogaming to do something more productive. I have put aside my propensity to play games on Steam--- I have an extensive library of games there--- to focus on my writing. I think, however, that from time to time it is necessary to just do something to unwind, like watch a movie or something.
1.4 - Rachel Merritt: For Those Who Hunt
***General Feedback*** Please be gentle! Every line has been rewritten many times lol!

@Rachel Merritt I see it now. Maybe the initial misunderstanding of how the character was seeing themselves is what threw my read into a spiral. If you can manage to put that "In the glass, a face..." part prior to the part that threw me it might be better for the reader to understand what is going on more clearly. I do like your story though. You have a good eye for story telling, just be aware of the logical flow of things. By the way, speaking of logic, did you understand my point on the "Autonomous" reference. This is another logic point. Every government is intrinsicly autonomous, at least in their own eyes, so to say that an authonomous government was overthrown is kind of strange. It would be better to say that it was bad, or overbearing, or something to make it understandable that you are mentioning that it was overthrown.

@Rachel Merritt No, I think you were on the right track but just need to describe it differently. In a futuristic world you need to be imaginative and invent things that have not been invented yet. You need to have a unique feel, to blend old with new in some way, and to create the unheardof to make it realistic. You need to have the automobile careening down the dirt streets of the old west spooking the stagecoach horses kind of feel. Maybe something like the overthrow of a government that was killing people for something stupid just to keep population down, or something, I'm just spitballing.

I liked this. I have read his book "The Tucson Time Traveler" because it was recommended by a friend and also because I live in Tucson.

Tears of an Angel is a touching fictional tale of a life changed through tragedy. Led to the Lord by an Australian nurse while recovering from his wounds in a Vietnam Hospital, he becomes a powerhouse for the Kingdom of God. The story follows Zane's life, from his injury, through his healing journey, and chronicles how he touches the lives of others. However, this doesn't mean he lives without struggles and challenges of his own, both physical and emotional. Though the author shares his name with the main character, this is a coincidence based on the true inspiration for this fictional story. Tears of an Angel is not an autobiography, however, the author draws on some of his life experiences to provide background, descriptions, and content within the story. Tears of an Angel by Zane D. Dowling

@Timothy Colomba Almost is right. I was in the US Army but about 4 years after the Vietnam war ended. The picture on the cover is me, actually. It's from my basic training and it is taken in front of a backdrop.
