Who hit all their goals this week? I didn't 🥴
I set my writing goals for the week. I have a daily word count & writing schedule. Did I stick to it? Nope. 🙃 I could say that work and life got in the way, but really, I just didn't prioritize it. There were some days that I curshed it, and others that I completely dropped the ball. But I'm not going to beat myself up. I'm going to learn from yesterday's mistakes and do better today.🌟 + meeting my daily goal 3 days out of the week is better than 0 🥳 How did your week go? Hopefully better than mine 😄

📚 Book Recs (What are you currently reading?)
📖 Right now, I’m reading 'On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King' 🌟 This is one of those books that reminds you writing isn’t about sounding impressive… It’s about telling the truth as clearly as possible. 🤔 One thing that’s been sticking with me: Good writing is often just honest writing, stripped of all the extra. It’s simple, but not easy. It makes you look at your own work and ask, “Am I saying this in the clearest, most real way I can?” 📚 What are you currently reading?

A Bit of Problem Awareness 💭
🤔 Curious — when do you usually get stuck? Before you start, or during? Most writers don’t struggle with writing........... They struggle with starting. Not because they’re lazy —but because every day feels like a new decision. “Should I write now?” “Do I have enough time?” “What should I even work on?” 🌟 That back-and-forth is what drains you.......Not the writing 👀

The “Thinking Out Loud”
Something I’ve been realizing: When I reread my own writing, it always feels clearer than it probably is… because I already know what I meant. Makes me wonder how different it feels to someone reading it for the first time. Do you think about that when editing?
