On SEPTEMBER 1ST we officially kick off our đŸ”„ WrestleFit Challenge of the Month đŸ”„ — testing your strength, stamina, and consistency all month long! đŸ’Ș Choose Your Challenge (or go beast mode and do all 3): 1. Push-Ups: 1,000 total push-ups in September. 2. Squats: 2,000 squats in September. 3. Just taking a moment to say how grateful I am today. My family, my students, my wrestlers, my haunted house crew, the WrestleFit Warriors, everyone at the WrestleFit Training and Lifestyle Center, the NOW Elite Pro Wrestling Academy, New Ohio Wrestling, and all of you inside Pro Wrestling Skool. You all give my life some serious purpose. If you ever trained with me, bumped in my ring, sweated through a WrestleFit class, crushed a workout at the Training and Lifestyle Center, learned inside Pro Wrestling Skool, supported our shows, or even screamed your lungs out trying to escape me in a haunted house, then you’re part of the family. No joke. Eat strong. Rest up. Be proud of the work you’re putting in. Tomorrow we get back to building the bodies, the minds, and the careers we want. Embracing the Journey: How Terrie Hoover Transformed Adversity into Empowerment
In a world where life rarely follows a straight path, Terrie Hoover serves as a beacon of resilience and determination. As the co-owner of WrestleFit Training and Lifestyle Center, she has turned her own struggles into a mission to inspire others. Her story is not just about fitness; it's about reclaiming one's identity and fighting against the odds. 1. Life's Unpredictable Journey Terrie Hoover's life is a testament to the fact that we don’t always follow the expected timeline. Becoming a teen mom at 17, she juggled raising her daughter Brittany while completing high school. By the time she graduated, she was already a mother with many responsibilities. Terrie's journey illustrates that challenges can be stepping stones rather than obstacles. 2. The Wake-Up Call After years of putting others first and neglecting her own well-being, Terrie faced a severe health crisis when she was diagnosed with Graves' disease. This condition led to a thyroid storm that drastically changed her life; she lost her independence, movement, and speech. The experience was harrowing but became a pivotal moment for her transformation. Despite the overwhelming odds, she fought back, proving that resilience is often forged in the face of adversity. 3. A Journey of Reclamation After undergoing multiple surgeries and dealing with the aftermath of her health issues, including significant weight gain, Terrie made a bold decision. In 2021, she chose to become a certified personal trainer while recovering from spine surgery. From being in a wheelchair to lifting weights, she flipped her narrative from "Why me?" to "Watch me!" This shift in mindset was crucial, as it motivated her to not only reclaim her health but also inspire others to do the same. 4. Creating a Welcoming Community With the establishment of WrestleFit Training and Lifestyle Center, Terrie created a space for those who often feel out of place in traditional gyms. She emphasizes that fitness is for everyone, regardless of size, age, or ability. The center caters to a diverse clientele, including kids, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Her dedication to outreach programs, such as working with at-risk youth and community initiatives, showcases her commitment to making fitness accessible and empowering.
