First trying I built that made me proud.

I was 15 or 16 and was given a pair of Klipsch 10" stadium speakers. I wanted to build cabinets for them but had no clue. Mom was no help since most of her crafting was simple tackroom blanket and saddle racks.

I asked my high school shop instructor if he'd help even though I want taking a class with him at the time. So weekends we planned and salvaged pallet wood in his garage shop. He showed me how to mill the wood and join it.

I used those speakers for 20 years before giving them to a young person in the military. To me that was the beginning of a lifelong love for engineering and creating.
