Upcoming LIVE on the YouTube Channel + an Invitation
Good Morning SKOOL members. I posted a video today on the topic of using an ai 🤖 recently to help me with a real life how to. Initial comments are very interesting. The LIVE will be talking about the use of ai and our fear or comfort with it. The special guest is BOB, the ai chat bot. 🤣 (seriously, he will be there) Join us on Monday, January 19th at 8:25 pm EST. And here is a special invite for any members of our SKOOL community to come on during the LIVE and share a story or opinion (5-10 mins) on your ai experiences. Simply click on that link after 8:25 pm EST or so and you will enter the "green room" where I will see you are there and bring you on. Try it! https://streamyard.com/b3hu7bx2qu

Interesting vs Subscriptions
🤖 The big change I'm hearing about in the world of Media consumption is that we will be provided with sources that the AI thinks we are interested in not in the sources we subscribe to. What are the things you are interested in?

Age...
I drive for Uber + Lyft and tonight I picked up an older guy and took him across town to his home. He looked close to 80, had a fancy walker, said he had issues with several verterbrae in his back, and had a sharp-edged sense of humor that I liked. He's in the back seat and I can't see people back there, and all they can see is the back or side of my head, less if it's dark outside. I had some Pink Floyd playing and he made a comment about listening to "rock and roll" and I said it's because I'm a child of the 70's. He said, "Well, I'm a child of the 60's." Hmmm ... ok. Anyway, we had fun trading barbs and he said some stuff that made me curious about his age. I was guessing he was about 10 years older than me, so I asked him how old he is, and he said, "I'm 68. Gonna be 69 soon. What about you?" I said, "Well, I'm going to be 70 this year." He seemed rather dumbfounded. So was I -- this guy who seemed 10 years older was really one year younger. Hmmm... It was a fun ride, but it made me think about how we see ourselves. The person looking out my eyes thinks he's 25 but my body says otherwise. I do look a lot younger than my age, and that's nice. I do like that when I get younger kids in the car and ask if the music I'm playing is ok, most of them say, "Oh, sure, my [family member(s)] listen to it all the time, and I'm cool with it" -- it's mostly 70's rock. What can I say ... although I couldn't stand the music MY parents listened to when I was growing up (Broadway show tunes). I get to meet such a variety of people driving rideshare. I've learned it just doesn't pay to make quick judgments about anybody. But it's quite strange the boxes people put themselves into, and it's not something you can just ask why they do it.
Learning New Technologies
I'm sitting in a Starbucks here in Cebu, Philippines. And there's a young person using an Apple Pencil with his iPad. I have an Apple Pencil for use with my iPad, but I tried it once and it just felt difficult and uncomfortable. I asked him to tell me about how he uses it and what he thinks about it. He said the same thing a couple other people told me about the Apple Pencil – that once you get used to it, it's life changing. He's obviously a smart guy as he's in school and studying medicine. I am motivated when I get back later this week to commit to using the pencil with my iPad at least once each day. What is it about sometimes being either stubborn or unwilling to try something new the older we get particularly with new technologies? Are you this way with any either technology or tool you want to use but haven't really learned how to use it? (BTW) I uploaded my newest video on the channel using only the Filmora app on my iPhone. I LIKED it.

I’m working on perfecting the perfect tofu dinner! I’m on round #7 and it’s getting pretty good! I’ve made pizza from scratch, and my omelet skills are on point too. What should my next challenge be? Any suggestions from my boomer friends? Thanks!
