I LOST IT BECAUSE OF A NAP
Well, I lost my flame today! After keeping my daily 10-activity streak going since last October, I worked a rare opening shift this morning, came home wiped out, fell asleep — and woke up 90 minutes too late with only 7 activities done. You snooze, you literally lose! 🔥 I’m not bummed about it. Starting fresh today, and I’ll have it back in 30 days. Which got me thinking. Who wants to join me? The flame just means you’ve completed 10 activities a day for 30 days straight — liking a post, leaving a comment, making your own post (and it being liked 👍🏻) It sounds like a lot, but it’s really just 10 minutes a day of genuinely looking around and saying “I see you, good stuff!” to someone in the community. This one or another. If you’ve been curious about it but haven’t tried, this is your sign. Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you’re in! Oh! And thumbs up 👍🏻 this post of course. It's a simple acknowledgement of support. In 30 days, we'll have a celebration of something for the accomplishment. Something specific to/for the What's Up Boomer Skool group. I have an idea 💡

What's your wisdom? What's hiding in your mental warehouse?
Hey, guys, I've got a question... @Tav G. just joined my Skool group (https://www.skool.com/ai-results-2502) and mentioned she has been an insurance adjuster for years and is now retiring. She recognizes that she's got a ton of accumulated wisdom that she'd like to share with others to help them deal more effectively with homeowner's insurance claims. The question is, how best to do that? Obviously, using AI is the solution, but I've not seen anybody really talk about this -- how to get tacit knowledge you've accumulated over the years out of your head and captured in some kind of AI system that people can use? Part of the problem is that anybody who has been in a field for 20+ years has accumulated a TON of knowledge. But employers never bother to tap into it. At some point, they have a layoff and of course they get rid of the elders before the younger folks because we're more expensive (on paper, anyway). But in the process, they toss the baby out with the bathwater, and all of that knowledge and wisdom the elders have in their heads walks out the door with them. This person KNOWS she's got a lot of stuff in her head that represents a LOT OF VALUE to others. But what's the best way to capture it? The problem is, for most people it ONLY exists as lots of memories of experiences that are not hard to recall when properly triggered, but unless someone kept a diary, it's just random stuff that's not at all organized or easy to find without some nudging that brings it to mind. For most of us, that looks like a huge warehouse full of unlabeled boxes (conjuring up the scene at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc). So we don't know what we know, begging the question, how do we figure out what's there? With so many people losing their jobs now due to AI, there's a large and growing pool of wisdom ready to capture and turn into "Mini Me's" who can help people with things in ways we cannot even really imagine.

@Fil Ladden I think you'd be surprised how much is still relevant. Plus, you have a unique point of view (POV) that can make you stand out from the rest of the rabble rousers. :-)

@Sage Rogers Thanks! I have a quick update on this: I was at a bank changing some stuff on a personal account I'm not using for anything that I want to use for a new biz venture, and asked if I can file a DBA for it. They said "That's a Business account". Yeah, even with my own SSN. First time I've run into that. But mostly the DBA is needed to process paper checks. Who does that any more? I've got multiple PayPal accounts, Stripe, Melio, and others that have my biz name and they don't require a certificate from the Corp Commission. So I can take payments online or via cards or even ACH transfers and put them into this account, and the bank has no clue. This is why I like virtual banks -- they don't care about this stuff.
So, here's the milestone ✅
The milestone reveal! Skip to minute 16:15 ... you're welcome 😉 In Tuesday's video I will share why and how this relates to me and this time of life.

Hey, Congrats Fil on video number 100! Here's an idea for more content: interview others of us who are in a similar situation as you are and what we're doing about it. One imperative would be to bring up our concerns around Social Security and blow up your subscriber count and views!

@Fil Ladden Forgot to say that I'd be happy to be interviewed as well. ;)
Why I'm Building Community Here (Not on YouTube)
I’m really glad you’re here on SKOOL, and I wanted to take a moment to explain why I chose this platform over YouTube for ultimately connecting with the YouTube audience. The difference comes down to connection. On YouTube, the comment section was never designed for real conversation. When someone replied to your comment, you wouldn’t even get notified—which meant questions went unanswered, discussions fizzled out, and genuine connection was nearly impossible. It just wasn’t built for what we’re trying to create here. SKOOL works differently. You get notified when someone responds to you. Conversations actually happen. People connect with each other, not just with content. That’s the foundation of a real community. Someone recently shared their experience in other SKOOL communities and how there seems to be a real focus on pushing services, courses, and workshops. While those are cool features of the platform, that’s not what my main focus is on. This isn’t a sales funnel. It’s simply a gathering place. I’ll be happy to share more about my own experiences exploring other communities here another time. Some I’ve found really great, and some ... well, let’s just say I have opinions that aren’t positive. But that’s for another post. I’m hoping more folks from our YouTube audience will find their way here and join us. As for what this community ultimately becomes? I’m leaving that open for now. Thanks for being here and for being part of something that’s just getting started. Have you found any other Skool communities that are 6/7 ???? 😆 good and/or bad?

YT is not a "community", just a bunch of people voicing their opinions. I'm getting tired of all of the fake videos there and wondering why YT's voluminous Community Guidelines that are used to slice-and-dice some folks cannot seem to do anything about the crap that looks like it got kicked off of Faux News. At least there's some interaction here on Skool. I don't like that so many of the posts are meaningless tripe posted simply to get points to boost folks up in the Leaderboard. I've got something new I'd like to promote and get some feedback on, but pretty much anywhere you try to do self-promotion is met with being banned. I even got banned from one Skool group for reasons that weren't even clearly explained. But it's hard to find contentious topics among boomers who just like to talk about the old-times. :-)
