Alright, let’s talk Goat Cheese! Do you like it, do you hate it? One way or another let’s take a look at some fun facts about goat cheese.
Fun Fact number 1! Goat cheese, and indeed goat milk in general has a different protein and fat structure than cow’s milk. Goats milk in general contains less lactose, which makes it more easily digestible for folks with a dairy sensitivity's.
Fun fact number 2! Cheesemaking goes waaaay back about 7000 years ago, and Goats were among the first animals to be domesticated specifically
for their milk and use in cheesemaking.
Practical Uses and Examples
Berry and Goat Cheese Salad with candied pecans
Goat Cheese Fondue
For use on a cheese board: can be rolled in chopped cranberry and orange zest for a flavored goat cheese
Can be mixed with peas and prosciutto for a ravioli filling
Omelette or Quiche filling ingredient
