Good morning gentlemen,
We all on this journey want the best that we can get in our clothes, aesthetics, accessories, and unfortunately sometimes they are beyond our means. So what do you do? Do you give up? Do you just hold off changing until you can afford to get what you want? No not at all.
See so many influencers and creators want you to buy whatever their sponsors have them promote. This could be clothes, aesthetics fragrances, whatever they are promoting yes they wear them but they are being donated to them.
Here is the deal, you can and will look just and sharp and clean with times that you buy from a less expensive place or even from a thrift store. What matters is what you do with what you buy and how you maintain what you have. Shoes, keep them polished and if in in-climate weather wear some shoe galoshes over them especially in heavy rain or snow. Jewelry buy some jewelry cleaner and keep your jewelry clean from dirt, grime, and the natural salt from your body. Your shirts, pants, suits, keep them clean and fresh. Keep in mind the more you wash your clothes such as jeans, shirts, the more they break down. Think about this where does the lint in the dryer come from ? Itβs from your clothes breaking down in the wash and in the dryer. So the more you wash them the more they break down, so should you walk around musty? No, invest in a clothes steamer and a iron. A steamer will refresh your clothes and take out 98% of the bacteria and odors from your clothes without breaking down your clothes. ( you should only wash your jeans, pants, shirts, only when they have stains, or they start to hold a smell and need to be washed.) Now in the summer time if you are wearing dress shirts and their is a ring around the collar, that is different), but if when you take them off and there is no stains you can run a steamer over them and they will ready for the next day. pants same thing unless they are stained or they have a serious odor after several wears and being steamed yes throw then in the washer or take then to the cleaners. If you iron your shirts and pants iron them, it will give them nice clean crisp crease's and when you steam them in between washes you help keep that crease. Suits you should only have to take them to the cleaners at least one every season. If you steam your suits after you take them off and or before you put them on, you will keep the fresh smelling and help keep the creases.
Point being, you if have less expensive clothes they will look just as nice as expensive clothes and will last just as long as the expensive ones if you take care of them properly. Remember, those most expensive clothes and accessories will not last any longer than less expensive items if you do not take care of them either.
Invest in an Iron and in a steamer and you will protect your clothes. I bought one for my grandson one and he is 13yrs. And he steams his clothes every day, his jeans, polos, button down shirts are done every evening for the next day on his own. I am teaching him how to care and respect what he was given and what he has. ( This also cuts down on the amount of laundry that we have to do.)
