New purchase from Long Island Watches, a company mentioned frequently on here thought I'd check them out. I was very impressed with Long Island Watches, I found a watch I liked considerably cheaper than in the UK, including shipping costs, and it arrived in 7 days. I went for the Duxot Atlantica Automatic Dive Watch with Hunter Green Dial, based on looks and being inexpensive enough not to be forever tracking shipping.
Duxot Watches are a brand owned by Dartmouth Brands Ltd. (other names in their stable include Avi-8, Spinnaker and Dufa) they are a British registered company that is owned by Hong Kong-based Solar Time Ltd. This company has offices in Hong Kong and London and a presence in the US. Like Avi-8, Dufa and Spinnaker, Duxot makes good quality watches using Japanese branded movements. The Hunter Green Dial Atlantica Automatic Dive Watch has the following specifications:
Seiko NH35 Automatic movement, handwinds and hacks.
Stainless steel case, 42mm x 13mm, 50mm lug to lug, with exhibition screwdown caseback.
Sapphire Crystal
A 22mm stainless steel bracelet having a fold over buckle with safety lock and push button.
Water resistant to 200 meter
Weight of 200 grams
So far impressed with my watch that is Chinese made, with Japanese parts from a British company, bought from America because it was cheaper 😁
