Day 3 - Longines hydroconquest 39mm
Final thoughts: I've had this watch on for 3 days straight only taking it off the sleep which tells me everything I need to know.
On the positive side. That sunburst dial is exquisitely done you were correct the dial finishing does get better as you go up in price.
The strap is ultra comfortable, the deployment clasp is superb, it's has the bit of tension to it when you close it that is strangely satisfying to feel made a point about those small details that add to the experience and this is one of them.
The bezel action is crisp with zero back play.
I've heard many people say the dialed is unbalanced because of it not having a numeral at 3 o'clock, I disagree because symmetry and balance are not the same thing, the watch is balanced by the bold crown guards on that side.
Now there has to be a negative right? I think the case side brushing could be a bit more refined, I've compared it to my San Martin GMT but that is about it.
