When you think about eating healthier, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Is it something you need to stop eating?
That's where my mind goes a lot of the time, too!
In Friday's email, I talked about how easy it is to get so focused on what we're NOT supposed to eat that we forget to think about whether we're getting enough of what our bodies actually need.
So as you're thinking about what you're going to eat this week, take a look at a few of your usual meals. Are there vegetables in there? Some fruit? What about beans or whole grains?
You might discover you're doing better than you thought, or you might notice a few things you could add. Maybe you could put some berries on your oatmeal or add beans and a few extra vegetables to your soup. You don't have to come up with a whole new menu to give your body more of what it needs!
