A couple of related(?) questions please Walkys Community!

I have a beautiful 4 month old German shepherd puppy. We’ve had her for 2.5 weeks. I am not expecting miracles and just wanting to work through some basics. Seeking guidance/tips/hints - please - on a couple of things and I am finding Google a bit conflicting and down rabbit holes.

When training how do you get her to keep your attention on you?
How do you teach her her name? I admittedly think she knows and at times will come when called by her name and other times won’t and whilst I know this needs to be taught and takes time I’m not sure if she’s coming just because or if she actually recognises her name.
Is it ok to teach her two names? So name and nickname?
Food training. I hear conflicting things about this. Is it recommended? I have been working with her just with lots of praise and it seems to be working with things like on your bed and sit but struggling with other things so wondering if food training might be ‘better’.
