Let’s be honest — most networking feels fake. Everyone’s “working the room,” handing out cards, and hoping for a sale. I used to be that person. Then I learned the Go-Giver way — and everything changed. Now, I show up to every event with one question in mind:👉 “Who can I serve today?” That mindset has led to more referrals, deeper connections, and real friendships in business. I put my exact process into a new resource called📘 The Intentional Networking Shortcut — The Step-by-Step System for Showing Up Authentically and Getting Results If you believe business should be built on trust, generosity, and value you can request your free copy of the ebook HERE What’s one thing you do to make networking feel more authentic? Drop it in the comments — I’d love to hear your approach.

[Daily Impact] Most People Will Never Think of Doing This…
When considering the advantage of listening more than speaking, there’s an old saying: “I don’t learn anything…while I’m talking.” In other words, we learn when we listen, not when we speak. And I happen to believe that’s wonderful advice…in general. However, I’d like to explore something that may at first seem rather counterintuitive. It seems that while we are speaking — *if/when we stay conscious of what we’re saying* — we actually CAN learn while we speak. Key Point: As we listen to/observe what we ourselves are saying, we can take in this information and utilize it as a guide to determine whether we are on the right track…or whether a “course correction” is needed. We can even replay our words later to ourselves in order to determine the same. Powerful Thought: My coauthor in The Go-Giver series, John David Mann, often quotes or paraphrases the iconic author, Joan Didion, who famously said, “I write entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see, and what it means. What I want and what I fear.”

Influence Through Service
Being a Go-Giver influencer starts with how you show up for people. Influence grows through trust. Trust grows through service. You lead through actions, not titles. Here’s what living as a Go-Giver influencer looks like in your work and relationships: • Lead with value first. Offer help before asking for anything. • Listen longer than you speak. Attention builds connection. • Share credit freely. Recognition strengthens trust. • Follow through every time. Consistency builds confidence. • Serve without keeping score. Generosity expands influence. This style of influence feels different. People seek your perspective. Conversations deepen. Opportunities flow through relationships, not transactions. Ask yourself today: Where can you add value without expectation? Who benefits from your encouragement? What commitment deserves follow-through? Your influence grows through daily choices. Lead with service. Let the impact multiply.
