Connect client's phone number to vapi

Hey guys, I want to know how do you connect a client's phone number to vapi? I saw that porting an existing phone number on twilio/vonage takes 2-4 weeks and with vapi you can only connect numbers form twilio or vonage. When you get a new client, how do you usually connect their phone number to the agent? Do you ask them to use your twilio phone number for the time they port on twilio?
