1 Thessalonians 4:1
1 Thessalonians 4:1 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. (NIV) Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.(NLT) Paul is telling the believers in Thessalonica: . You already know how to live in a way that pleases God- because Paul and the other apostles taught them. . Now he encourages them to keep growing, to continue living for God even more faithfully. . It's a loving push to keep maturing spiritually, not because they’re failing, but because there is always room to grow in holiness, obedience, and love. In other words: “you’re already living In a way that honors God. Keep going- and keep growing. Don't stay where you are spiritually; increase in it more and more. Main points: . Christian life is a walk, something ongoing. . Pleasing God is not a one-time act; its a daily lifestyle/ . God wants his children to abound, meaning grow, improve, and flourish.

Explanation Psalms 7:17
Psalms 7:17 EXPLAINED David ends the Psalm by choosing to praise God because of God’s righteousness- meaning God is always fair, just, and right. Even though David has been facing trouble and asking God for help earlier in the Psalm, he closes with confidence, thanking God for who He is. He says he will sing praise to the Lord Most High, showing trust, gratitude, and worship. This verse teaches that praise is based on who God is, not just what he does for us. God is righteous- He judges fairly and does what is right. Even in difficulty, like David was experiencing, we can still choose to praise God. (Comment down below any thoughts you may have.) ❤️

Psalms 7:17
Applying Psalms 7:17 to your daily life: 1. Praising God for His character, not just circumstances. Even when things feel uncertain or hard, remind yourself that God is still righteous, good, and trustworthy. 2. Let praise redirect your emotions. David was under pressure, but he chose to end with worship. Praise helps shift your heart from fear or frustration to confidence in God. 3. Make worship a daily habit. Singing, praying, or even quietly thanking God can anchor your heart in His goodness. 4. Trust that God sees everything clearly. Since He is righteous, you can rest knowing He will handle every situation with wisdom and justice.
