Psalms 7:17 EXPLAINED
David ends the Psalm by choosing to praise God because of God’s righteousness- meaning God is always fair, just, and right. Even though David has been facing trouble and asking God for help earlier in the Psalm, he closes with confidence, thanking God for who He is.
He says he will sing praise to the Lord Most High, showing trust, gratitude, and worship.
This verse teaches that praise is based on who God is, not just what he does for us. God is righteous- He judges fairly and does what is right. Even in difficulty, like David was experiencing, we can still choose to praise God.
