Hello everyone. I’m Xavier, from Mexico City. 45 yrs old, struggled with weight all my adult life. Made this transformation a top priority for me one year ago with the objective to get to 45 in the best shape of my life. In 10 months went from 28% to 12% body fat, reduced 66 lbs. Eating well, resistance training, was able to increase naturally testosterone from 400 to 700 with guidance from my doctor. Using Reta, Tesamorelin+Ipamorelin. I feel AMAZING. I was looking for a community to learn from and share ideas!

The road begins now
What’s up fellas!? I’m not quite 40 yet but pushing my way to the top of that hill. I’m married with 4 kiddos that my life revolves around. Growing up I was an active guy, always involved in a sport year round and worked on top of that. Once I graduated high school my shape went from a fit guy to a blob. I have struggled for the past 20 years going back and forth with my weight. Once kids came into the picture it’s been straight down hill. Between their sports, activities and my two youngest having some pretty gnarly medical stuff going on I just don’t prioritize myself like I should. I feel myself moving in the right direction here in the last month or so tho. I’ve started working out again, im looking at labs, my kids are becoming more independent and we are looking acreage to finally settle down in Tennessee. I look forward to making some connections with other guys in my same spot and those who have been in my situation before. Glad to be here.
Newcomer, lots of questions!
Few Questions: Hey! New around here! My Name is Dave from NYC, 47 year old male! I been on tirzepatide for 3.2 weeks roughly now. I started super slow at 1.7mg, then 3mg, 4.25mg my last shot. I have a few questions bc a little confused. So basically I have been literally losing weight at an average of 3 pounds roughly a week which is fantastic but I’m more confused now on the hunger side and how to handle. I didn’t really feel any hunger suppression the first two weeks much, but at 3mg it was literally really good for three days and then basically came creeping back and I noticed myself grabbing for the cookies and extra snacks. I decided to take my shot every 6days (which I been basically doing now since I started bc I been white knuckling it for a few days at the end ). Now on 4.2mg, with more medicine in my system, the hunger suppression has actually been less! So confusing bc I am monitoring my levels with the shotsy app and the levels are def higher but less suppression than the 3 days I originally had. I am still losing weight which is amazing but I feel if I can’t control the hunger, that will eventually stop. I weight train 4 days a week and do cardio the other three, basically seven days a week I’m working out. Been doing this basically for the past 12 years so my body is able to handle this, it’s the hunger that always hindered me and kept me lean. I don’t want to live a life of tracking calories the rest of my life bc not sustainable for me. So I have been reading so much to figure out the correct protocol. I would like to at least have suppression for 6 days (still be able to eat, just less hunger overall and more full for longer so I can eat less). My healthcare provider prohibits anything less then every 7 days and they basically said you have to get to a level that it’s enough to last you the whole week(not just to the half life of 5 days) but from what I am reading on Reddit, it seems it never lasts that long, only the 5 days. I’m wondering, do I do a shot every 5 days instead? Split the doses into every 3/4 days? What has worked for you guys to at least last 5-6 days of suppression without going crazy high on mg doses where it crushes your receptors? My diet is high in protein (before this I was eating like 200g on any a day, ofc less now but still good). I am 5/7 about 181 now, started at 188.4. Pretty muscular build. Just wanted to get very lean where abs are popping, could never get that. Or a flat stomach, always had a little gut. Looking for some motivation and insight here on the correct amount like what should I expect to feel? 5-6 days of controlled hunger? I don’t want to not eat ofc. So should I take shots more frequently (and monitor levels with glp1plotter and shotsy) like 5 days or split doses into 2 or just hit myself with higher doses and grind it out for 7 days? I know technically I’m not even on a starter dose for weight loss that has been studied but since I have felt some effects I know it’s working. Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for the long post. The healthcare providers are so cookie cutter and just wondering everyone else’s perspective.
Hey ya’ll!
Hey ya’ll! I’m Brian. I began my fitness journey about 2 years ago (for the first time since leaving the military 19 years ago). My current goal: Figure how to keep a lower body fat % and NOT feel like I’m starving everyday 😂
Hey ya’ll!
Ready to have the body I never had
Hi guys, I was a fat kid growing up and while I’m no longer obese, I never really got lower than 22% body fat and most of the time stayed around 25%. I’m a gym rat at heart but when building muscle would sort of balloon up in size like super Mario, but never really would get muscular. Same thing when I lost weight we just shrink, but never really got defined. I was on Tirzepatide and went all the way up to 7.5mg with saw only modest changes (5 lbs) nothing really that drastic so I just switched to retatrutide this last week and I’m hoping that the added receptor will really benefit me. I had surgery a few months ago and just getting back into weight lifting. Not lifting as heavy as I used to out of caution, but can now say at least that I’m lifting three times a week. Looking forward to learning from you guys
