Most sprinters don’t have a speed problem.
They have a force application problem.
A lot of athletes lose time because they:
- pop straight up out the blocks
- rush their first steps
- cycle too early
- train speed while fatigued
Acceleration should feel like PUSHING, not just moving your legs fast.
One cue that helped me:
“Push the ground away and stay patient through the first 20-30m.”
