Welcome to Thrive Again Hub. Say hi to us!
We have all started somewhere and this is your somewhere. Whether you found us through a Facebook ad, a friend, or just a feeling that something needed to change, you are here now and that matters. Take a moment and introduce yourself below. Tell us: - Your name and where you are from or - What made you finally say yes to this or - And your favourite thing to eat right now, healthy or not, no judgement here 😄 There are women in this community at every stage of the journey. Some are on Day 1, some have been here a while. All of them started exactly where you are standing right now. Very good starting point is the "7 Day Energy Boost" because we all need good energy to get going physically and mentally. With better energy everything else feel less effort :) Say hi. You might just make someone's day. Kelli

Herbal tea for fluid retention, bloating and digestion
I have been loving this herbal tea lately, so I thought I'd share it with you. Here in Brisbane it is winter and often I find I drink less water so gentle herbal tea without caffeine counts towards the water intake. The flavour is mild yet interesting enough. The hero ingredients are: • Fennel seeds – traditionally used to ease bloating, gas and digestive discomfort. • Peppermint leaf – helps relax the digestive tract and can soothe an unsettled stomach. • Dandelion leaf – traditionally used as a gentle diuretic to support healthy fluid balance. Very good for removing the excess fluids • Celery seed (or leaf) – traditionally used to support fluid balance and healthy digestion. It's a lovely, gentle tea to enjoy after meals or whenever you're feeling a little puffy or bloated. If you really want to enhance the effect of it, I suggest you drink 4 cups a day. I personally make 2 cups at a time, with double bag, I keep it in my thermos mug and when it cools down I just top it up with extra hot water. PS. You can just make this blend yourself and buy the herbs in loose leaf, use 1 tsp of each to make 2 cups of tea. Do you have a go-to herbal tea that you always keep in the cupboard?

Checking in with my progress
Just checking back in with a little update. We're now in the second week after half term, and things definitely feel a little calmer. This week has been far from perfect, but it has felt much more intentional. On Monday and Tuesday, I had one of the most satisfying breakfasts I've had in a long time. Wholemeal toast with a thin layer of cream cheese, smashed avocado, poached eggs, a sprinkle of Himalayan salt, black pepper, lemon juice and a few chilli flakes. It kept me full for hours and felt like a real act of self-care rather than just grabbing something quickly. This morning was a bit more rushed, so I adapted instead of giving up. I had natural Greek yoghurt mixed with vanilla protein powder, sliced banana, a drizzle of honey and some almond flakes. It wasn't the breakfast I'd originally planned, but it still felt nourishing and balanced. I've also been enjoying warm water with a pinch of Celtic salt, fresh lemon and a little honey. I find warm water much easier on my digestion than cold water, especially first thing in the morning. Supplement-wise, I'm currently taking: • Magnesium for energy and reducing aches and pains • Vitamin D with biotin after recently discovering I was severely vitamin D deficient and completing my loading dose • Folic acid with B12 and vitamin C, as my folate levels often sit on the lower side • Today I'm also starting red clover and white sage to see if it helps with the night sweats I've been experiencing One thing I'm really learning on this journey is that consistency doesn't have to mean perfection. Sometimes it's the ideal breakfast. Sometimes it's the adapted version. Both are still a win. Also, if anyone notices the Christmas trees on my glass in the photo... all of our non-Christmas glasses seem to have been smashed over the last year, so we're currently drinking from Christmas glasses all year round! 🎄😂 I'd love to hear how everyone else is getting on. What's one small thing that's been supporting your health or energy this week?
