I'm building an immersive Community for my fiction
Why I’m Going Super Immersive, Building Community, and Going Narrow With My Fiction I want to introduce you to Embervale not just as a book series, but as a place. Embervale is my cozy fantasy world, the setting of Dungeons & Donuts, and the foundation of something much bigger than a single release. After launching through Kickstarter, I realized I didn’t want this world to live only on Amazon shelves or in one-off book launches. I wanted it to become an ecosystem—a world readers could step into, stay in, and help shape over time. I'm Building Community Because Stories Are Better When They’re Shared For years, I wrote side stories, novellas, and character moments just for myself. They mattered to me—but they weren’t really living anywhere. Now, everything lives in one place. Inside the Embervale community, readers can: - Read short stories and novellas as they’re released - Download content at their own pace - Talk about characters, quests, and theories - Join coffee chats, Q&As, and live guild gatherings - Help shape future stories, expansions, and merch I want the citizens of Embervale to feel like they belong here—not as passive consumers, but as people who have a voice. Whether that’s voting on sticker designs, choosing which character gets a plushie next, or sharing what they loved most about Dungeons & Donuts, the community becomes part of the creative process. I’ve built warm, welcoming communities before—and I know how powerful it is when people feel safe, seen, and excited to show up.
