NuCore Moisture Testing Requirements
They only call out ASTM 2659, that’s moisture meter guys. Here’s what it says: Although this floor is waterproof, from the top down, it is not to be used as a moisture barrier. The subfloor must be dry. Concrete moisture vapor emissions should not exceed 2.5% moisture content (ASTM F2659 method). Prior to installing flooring, remove dirt, paint, varnish, wax, oils, solvents, any foreign matter and contaminants from the subfloor. Do not use products containing petroleum, solvents or oils to prepare subfloors as they can cause staining and expansion of the new flooring. Tramex Certification
It was an amazing and successful day with Steve Phillips and David Daniels teaching and certifying the very talented INSTALL flooring instructors of the Carpenters Union in Edison, New Jersey, on the use of the Tramex Meters, the Five-Point Concrete Moisture Test, and the Time-of-Install Three-Point Test.

Moisture Testing
This category is dedicated to everything related to testing concrete moisture. ASTM F2170 in-situ RH testing, ASTM F1869 calcium chloride tests, ASTM 2659 surface meters, and any other methods you use in the field. Share your test results and get feedback. Post photos of your probe installations. Discuss equipment recommendations. Ask about confusing readings or situations where different tests gave conflicting results. Whether you're new to moisture testing or have been doing it for decades, this is the place to sharpen your skills and help others do the same.
