Welcome to Day 1 of the Acro Flip The Script Challenge! You’re the teacher. Your grown-up is the student. Let’s go.
🎥 Today’s Trick: Seal Stretch
Easy Version: Legs stay on the ground
Hard Version: Toes touch head
👩🏫 How to Teach It:
Start your grown-up:
- Lying on their stomach
- Hands by their ribs, palms down
- Legs extended behind them, slightly apart for low back space
- Fingers spread wide, facing forward
Then guide them like this:
- Cue them to look up and open their neck
- Slowly roll up into the seal stretch — in 8 counts
- Hold at the top for 8 counts
- Roll down slowly — in 8 counts
- Finish in Child’s Pose
🤲 Spotting Tips:
- Gently press their shoulders back to support the stretch
- Encourage a lifted chest
- Make sure they don’t sink into their low back
- Knees and legs can be apart to create more space
- Keep it safe, slow, and supported
