For thousands of years, people began noticing something remarkable.
Certain plants helped them rest.
Others helped them focus.
Some brought comfort during grief.
Others eased the tension that comes from carrying too much for too long.
They didnโt have MRI scanners or gas chromatography.
They had observation.
Generation after generation, they paid attention to what happened when people breathed in the aroma of certain plants.
Today, we have something they didnโt.
Modern science is helping explain why many of those observations made sense.
Researchers are studying how aromatic compounds interact with our sense of smell, the limbic system, emotions, memory, and the bodyโs stress response.
For me, it isnโt a choice between ancient wisdom and modern science.
The two belong together.
I value the centuries of careful observation that came before us, and Iโm grateful for the research that continues to deepen our understanding today.
Thatโs why I love Aromatherapy.
It honors both tradition and evidence.
