Thumbnails ✏️ (aka… thinking on paper)
I haven’t even started adding color yet~ this is literally just me working through ideas with a pen and letting my brain wander a bit. No pressure, no perfection, just exploration.
That’s honestly the point of thumbnails.
They’re not supposed to be finished.
They’re not supposed to be pretty.
They’re just a place to figure things out before you commit time and energy to a full piece.
One of the things I love most about doing thumbnails is seeing which ones grow into full pieces… and which ones quietly don’t.
Sometimes only one sketch has that spark.
Sometimes a few of them do.
And every once in a while~ somehow~ they all make it.
There’s something really freeing about letting ideas exist without forcing them to become anything. The ones that want to live tend to make themselves known.
Right now I’m still just playing in pen~ no color yet~ just letting ideas wander and seeing what shows up.
🎨 Prompt: Grab a pen or pencil and fill one page with tiny sketches. No erasing. No judging. Just thinking.
You might be surprised what shows up.
