In our Week 2 check-in, we touched on two powerful yogic concepts:
🌀 Samsāra - the cycle of repetition, habit, and conditioned living
🌱 Samskāra - the subtle impressions left behind by past experiences, thoughts, and actions
Samskāras are not “problems” — they are patterns. And they live within each layer of our being.
Here’s how they can show up across the Pancha Kosha:
🧘 Annamaya Kosha (Physical Body)
Samskāras may appear as chronic tension, pain, or holding patterns - the body remembering what the mind has forgotten.
🌬 Pranamaya Kosha (Energy & Nervous System).
They surface as blockages, shallow breathing, or dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system - living in fight, flight, or freeze instead of flow.
🧠 Manomaya Kosha (Mind & Emotions)
Here they express as mental loops, emotional reactivity, restlessness, or inner noise that keeps us from peace.
🔮 Vijnanamaya Kosha (Intuition & Discernment)
Samskāras cloud our inner knowing - creating doubt, disconnection from intuition, or difficulty trusting ourselves.
✨ Through our practices - movement, breath, meditation, and reflection - we do something profound.
We identify these impressions.
We embrace them with compassion.
And slowly, gently… we release them.
As each layer softens, we penetrate the koshas - and touch Anandamaya Kosha:
🌸 the natural state of joy, wholeness, and ease.
Every time you sit.
Every time you breathe consciously.
Every time you move with awareness…
You dissolve samskāras.
You liberate yourself - a little more.
And in that liberation, you return home:
To your true self.
Your authentic identity.
Beyond physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual limitation.
This is embodied self-love.
So today, meet your practice with:
🙏 Reverence
🔥 Resolve
❤️ Passion
The path is working - because you are walking it.
✨ Reflection & Sharing Invitation ✨
As you move through today’s practices, we invite you into a gentle but powerful inquiry:
🌀 Can you identify a samskāra that’s currently showing up in your life?
It may be physical, energetic, emotional, mental, or intuitive.
👇 In the comments or your journal, explore:
• Where do I notice this pattern showing up?
• How does it affect my body, breath, thoughts, or choices?
Then - and this is key -
💛 Acknowledge it without judgment.
💛 Embrace it with compassion.
You don’t need to fix or force anything.
When a samskāra is seen, met, and held with kindness, the conditions for natural release are created.
This is how transformation happens - not through resistance, but through awareness and care.
Share only what feels aligned. Your honesty may open a door not just for you, but for others walking beside you.
We witness each other here.
We heal together.
Stay Blissed,
Adam 🌬️🍃✨
