I’m back to classes today after a lovely 2 weeks off.
A much-needed rest and recovery… but now it’s time to get back on it.
One thing I’ve learned over the years is this: start slow(ish) and build.
There’s always that urge to smash it on day one — full intensity, full volume, full hype. But I’ve learned to resist that pull.
Think of training like a marathon, not a sprint.
You don’t give everything in the first 3 miles just because you feel good — the road is long, and consistency wins.
So I’ll ease back in, let the body adapt, sharpen the edges, and grow into the workload.
Momentum beats motivation.
