⭐️Welcome to The Art of The Table⭐️
Hey crew, welcome to the group! This is your spot to learn and share real-world tips, tricks, and mindset shifts to maximize your tipswhile serving. Whether you’re slinging drinks, running tables, or managing a section, this group’s about working smarter, not harder and walking out with heavier pockets. I’ll kick things off here’s me: • I work at a rooftop bar in Hawai’i • Been serving for 3 years • Best tip I’ve ever made in one shift: $600 • My go-to strategy? Be genuinely excited to help people and give them the best experience possible, energy is contagious, and people tip for good vibes Now it’s your turn. Drop your intro in the comments: 1. Where do you work? (Type of establishment only) 2. How long have you been in the game? 3. Best tip you’ve ever made? 4. One tip or trick that works for you? Universal rules: • No negativity, no complaining • Share value, ask questions, and don’t gatekeep • We’re here to grow, help each other, and make more money doing what we do Let’s get it. — Damien

🔄Wednesday – Wins & Workarounds🔄
This is your midweek checkpoint. It’s not always about the big wins—sometimes it’s the tiny shift that made a table tip 25% instead of 15%. Or the mistake that taught you something valuable. Here’s mine for the week: Win: I introduced myself with high energy, asked for names, and celebrated “the beauty of life” with a couple who said they weren’t celebrating anything. By the end of dinner, they tipped 40% and said I made their whole night. Workaround: I had a 6-top that came in cold—barely eye contact, barely talking. I mirrored their tone (quiet, reserved), and it kept the vibe flat. Lesson: even cold tables need warm energy. It’s on me to set the tone. Your turn: Drop a quick win or a workaround you learned this week. • What went right? • What didn’t go as planned—but taught you something? Let’s build each other up.

Why You’re Not Seeing Results (Yet)
Here’s a simple truth: Water doesn’t boil at 98°C. Not at 99°C either. It boils at 100°C. That final degree makes everything happen. It’s what separates global icons from unknowns. What separates those who win from those who almost do. It’s not about doing a little more than everyone else. It’s about doing whatever it takes. Most people believe effort = results. “If I put in 30%, I get 30% out.” “If I give 70%, I’ll see 70% of the outcome.” That’s linear thinking. And it’s dead wrong. They assume doing more than the average person means they’ll get above-average outcomes. But it doesn’t work that way. Results are not linear. They’re exponential. Put in 50% effort? You might get 15% return. Go to 90%? You still might only get 50%. But jump to 91%, and boom—you’re at 60%. 92%? You’re at 70%. The deeper you go, the steeper the return. It’s a curve, not a straight line. This is why people get discouraged. They put in effort, but not enough to reach the tipping point. Then they quit, thinking it’s not working. In reality? They were just a few degrees short of the boil. [DISCLAIMER] This may be a serving group and maybe serving isn’t your lifelong purpose. That’s okay, it’s not mine either. But here’s the truth: whatever chapter you’re in, whatever role you’re playing right now, it deserves your full energy and focus. (I will have a separate discussion post about this) FINAL REMINDER ▪ Water doesn’t boil at 99°C. ▪ Recognition doesn’t come from 80% effort. ▪ Success lives at the edge of discomfort.

💡Tactical Tuesday💡
Tuesday! This is where we drop real serving game. Little things that stack up to big tips. Every Tuesday, we’ll focus on one key move that makes a difference. We’re starting at ground one: The most important tip in the game, ENERGY SELLS. Here’s the breakdown: • People don’t just tip for service, they tip for experience • If you show up with real energy (not fake, not forced but present and excited), it changes everything • You become more memorable, more likable, and way more tip-able TACTICAL MOVE: Before you approach a table, check yourself. Are you slouched, distracted, or flat? Reset. Shoulders back, smile up, and start strong. “Hey you guys, my name is Damien and I’ll be taking care of you tonight. You’re about to have the best experience ever with me…” (If I’m taking care of a party of two or less, I always ask their names for a more formal, personal introduction after introducing myself.) “And what are your names?” Make sure to switch eye contact between both guests as you ask, then lock in on the person whose hand you’re about to shake. Offer a handshake that’s firm but light. Then say: “Before we get started, I wanted to ask—what are we celebrating today?” (Even if they say “nothing,” you can reply with something like, “Well, you’re here, so we’re celebrating the beauty of life.” No one’s ever disagreed with me on that.)
