Hi everyone. I’m a humble beginner in Sweden who recently found my voice in writing. I’m trying to find my way and learn as much as possible so I can write my story and get it published in an autofiction book. I hope my book can touch others and make them feel less alone.
My primary readers are men in their 40s who are doing their best to live up to all the expectations and ideals imposed on them by society and family. The stereotypical man nowadays is supposed to be strong, hardworking, sensitive, tough, understanding, unselfish, supportive, a feminist, a teacher and coach, a full-time parent, a fun and successful worker, and a handyman—all while respecting others' mental needs, except his own.
I have been writing a lot of poems and started working on a book a couple of months ago. I made a mind map and a framework, like Dani told me to. Then I made a book cover to get my creativity and motivation going. Now, I am writing the first chapter and just 'word-vomiting' the story so far.
Thanks for letting me join; I love being a part of this community. I am writing in Swedish now, but I might try to write in English with the help of Google Docs and Copilot to get my typos and grammar under control.
