@Steven Cruz I see - I wanted to start a talk called DET y? And ask the audience why we are the only species on earth that pays just to Live…why is that anyways? Other than social proof - I don’t get the whole TED x hype - Technology Entertainment and Design - how about Truth, Enlightenment and Decisions - we have a lot of maturing to do as a species. Pardon - feeling in a funk today - this is me blowing off steam;)

@Dani Rosenblad James thanks Dani! You’re awesome, if no one told you today!
The Tolkien World-Building Trick
J.R.R. Tolkien made Middle-earth feel real because he created layers of history. Places felt ancient. Objects carried stories. The world felt lived in. Your Challenge Invent an object from your story world. It could be: 🗡️ a sword 📝 a letter 📸 a photograph 💎 a necklace 🗺️ an old map Now answer three questions: 1. Who originally owned it? 2. What happened to it over time? 3. Why does it matter now? Then write a short scene involving this object. Objects become powerful storytelling tools when they carry history and meaning.

That is a powerful method of adding depth to a story! I think also because "things" carry story - they are also part of the consciousness fabric of the environment, and can be seen as forms of character in their own right.
An Inspiring Conversation
I had the pleasure if sitting down with @Dani Rosenblad James , who really inspired a deep and heartfelt conversation. I would love to hear your favourite moments from the community, so that I can pull out highlights and help amplify voices. Let us know in the comments! P.S. Pardon it took so long to be published Dani - its been a lot with our daughter and we have been playing catchup!

@Dani Rosenblad James Yay!!!
The Hidden Reason You Keep Restarting
When we restart, it feels productive. We have a new document. Fresh outline. Better opening. But if the deeper story question hasn’t changed, you’re usually just repainting the same wall. Inside Story First, we look for the reason the book keeps collapsing. Not to judge it but to finally understand it. ❓ Question: ❓ What part of your book have you restarted the most? Opening? Outline? Chapters? Voice? Direction? If you want, you can share your answer in the comments. This is how we grow and make a great story come to life!

For me it’s voice. - I changed the perspective of the story fairly dramatically.
Do You Think You Have a Writing Problem? 👀
Most writers do. ✍️ Or at least… they think they do. They sit down, open their document, and something just… doesn’t click. The words feel slow. The scenes feel off. The story doesn’t quite land the way they imagined it would. So what do they do? They question themselves. “Maybe I’m not good enough.” 😔 “Maybe this idea isn’t strong enough.” “Maybe I need a better story…” And then it happens. They start over. A new document. 📃 A new outline. A new version that feels like it might finally work. But a few weeks later, they’re right back in the same place. Stuck somewhere in the middle. Unsure where the story is going. Feeling like they’ve lost the thread completely. So they start over again. Not because they’re lazy. Not because they don’t care. 🫤 But because something underneath it all… isn't aligned. And that’s the part most writers never get shown. It’s not a writing problem. ✍️ It’s a clarity problem. Because when the core of your story isn’t locked in that's when everything else starts to wobble. The scenes feel disconnected. The middle collapses. The ending feels out of reach before you even get there. So you keep trying to fix it on the surface… Better sentences. Better opening. Better ideas. But the real shift doesn’t happen there. It happens when you stop asking, “How do I write this better?” And start asking, “What is this story actually trying to do?” That’s what I guide writers through the paid tiers in The Storyteller’s Path. Not just writing more. But understanding your story deeply enough that it can finally hold together. Because once that clicks? You don’t feel stuck in the same way anymore. You move forward with direction. 🧭 With intention. With something that actually carries you through the middle. If you’ve been restarting your book over and over again, this might be the shift you’ve been missing. And if you want help seeing where your clarity gap actually is, book a call with me

@Dani Rosenblad James Oh goodness - I have a whole chronicles outlined - and then some. Right now I am more focused on clients and building something akin to a spaceship of synergized soul purposes (a metaphor) - and its all going to be fulfilled - though one thing at a time!
