Brainstorm
I am writing a children's book with 2 characters having a back-and-forth conversation. For each time the character speaks I use (name of character said....) I am unsure about the repetitiveness of using the word "said". At the same time, since it's a children's book and its simple language it may be okay? Please let me know if you have any ideas!
