A true story…

Arrived home to a cricket waiting for me at the door..

Today I came home and found a large orange cricket waiting at my door. It felt like more than just a coincidence. I paused, looked at it, and even spoke to it before taking some photos. Once I went inside, the cricket calmly walked away.

Later, I googled the spiritual meaning of crickets and discovered they’re often seen as symbols of good luck and prosperity. But one message stood out to me: “The cricket’s presence in your home signals that your ancestors are attempting to communicate with you, offering guidance and wisdom.”

Tomorrow marks 9 years since my dad passed. I remember recently asking him to show me a sign that he’s still with me.

I truly believe the cricket was that sign—a gentle reminder that our loved ones are never really far away, and sometimes they find little ways to let us know they’re still watching over us.
