There's a "game" my family does from time to time. We've got a sound system that allows for anyone on the network to add songs to the currently playlist. It's a sonos - which used to be a great system to use, but is now kind of a pain in the ass.
Anyway.
The game works like this: Someone picks a song to start the mix and plays it. BEFORE the song ends, the next person has to add a new track to the playlist which works with the currently playing song. The way a song works can be whatever - mood, style, lyrics - it just has to "work." y'know. Mix style.
Given how much great music I've found from this community that I hadn't even known existed, I'm thinking this crew can produce some amazing mixes.
The rules:
a) I'm going to put a song at the bottom of this post. That's the first song. I'm going to label it as track "1."
b) You need to find, play, and listen track number 1.
c) Before the track ends, you must come up with a next track.
d) Post a reply that lists both track "1." and your new addition - track "2."
e) If there are multiple track 2's, track 4's, etc. - pick one to build from, and reply to that comment with your next track. This allows for the possibility that multiple people might be commenting around the same time, and not see that they're both posting a new track in response to the same song. We might get some branching mixes!
f) Be sure to copy the whole playlist in your reply. E.g., if I was adding the 4th track, I'd post something like:
1. track one - band one
2. track two - band two
3. track three - band three
4. track four - band four
That way, if there are branches - we know which branch you're adding to.
And that's it! Let's see if we can't get at least a single ten track playlist going. And we'll play by the honor system. Do your best to find something before the previous track ends!
Here's track one of this mix:
