The Sacred Ordinary
Dear Teacher, On this New Year's Day, a reminder that most of teaching is beautifully ordinary. Rolling out mats. Opening windows. Repeating cues we’ve said hundreds of times. Seeing familiar faces settle into familiar spots. And yet… Within the ordinary, the sacred hides. A student who finally notices their breath. Someone who arrives heavy and leaves lighter. The moment the room exhales together. The split-second where everything goes still. This month, honour the ordinary. It’s not “just another class.” It’s someone’s first step toward feeling whole again. Someone’s anchor in a chaotic week. Someone’s reminder that they’re not alone. You may never know the impact you make, but it’s there. Keep tending the ordinary. It’s where transformation grows. With appreciation, Ann-See

Your Presence Matters More Than Your Poses
Dear Teacher, There’s a quiet pressure in our industry to constantly refine: better cues, better playlists, better transitions. But here’s the truth I’ve learned through thousands of classes: Your presence will change a room long before your sequencing does. Students remember how you made them feel, not what shapes they created. They return because of your steadiness, not your symmetry. They trust you because your teaching feels lived, not memorised. This month, try softening your internal checklist. Teach from the inside out. Ask yourself before class: How do I want my students to feel at the end of this hour? Then let every cue, every breath count, every silence support that intention. You don’t need to be impressive; just present. Holding space with you, Ann-See xo

The Work Beneath the Work
14th November, 2025 Dear Teacher, Mid-month can feel like we’re suspended between what we planned and what actually happened. It’s often where the quiet truth emerges. This month, I want to remind you of something simple and essential: Teaching isn’t what you do with your voice or sequencing. It’s the work you’re doing beneath the work. It’s the attention you bring. The steadiness you’re cultivating. The integrity you keep when no one’s watching. The humility you hold as you carry a lineage older than any modern trend. Some months you will feel inspired and organised. Other months, you’ll feel stretched and unsure, and yet both are part of walking this path. If you’re in a season where your own practice feels thin…Begin again. Not with guilt but with curiosity. What is your body asking for? What is your breath showing you? Before you teach your next class, pause for 30 seconds. Place one hand on your belly and/or your heart and simply breathe. You can’t pour from empty, and you don’t need to rush to full. I’m cheering you on. With love & gratitude ... Ann-See xo
