Mondays used to feel like a hard reset for me. I'd make a familiar promise that THIS week would be the week I cleaned things up. I'd plan to eat better, read more, train harder, be a better father and husband, quit drinking, be more productive at work, and ease up on the caffeine. But by mid-week, I'd jump start old habits by grabbing the third cup of coffee and saying "Yes" to grabbing drinks after work. More drinks at home. Then impulsively slam doors, drawers, and punch counter tops when I'd get angry.
I'm not that person anymore. But I remember that clearly.
