My 5 Year Vision: My five year vision The day is June 4th 2031, I'm waking up in Catalina to a clear morning the sound of the waves lapping against the side of the boat it is calming and I am calm as I get up to make coffee to then sit on the back of the vote and know that I will not be contacted at 6:30 in the morning to be asked questions of job scope material or any other business related items. This is because the company has been built to a managed profitable structured entity where SOP's are followed and KPI's are understood by all team members. I sip my coffee now knowing that my operations manager and office staff are in control of today's work and have a clear plan for next week's work. This is the Thursday before a long weekend for my family and I to enjoy as Amelia has just graduated from high school and Reagan is finishing up her sophomore year. The feeling of being able to completely be present with my family and not worried about sales revenue or operations is completely free. My relationship with my wife Danielle has gotten better as I have enabled her to be more comfortable in knowing the company is working well for our family monetarily and the time that I have gotten back my hope is that she has been able to pull back from quite a few of her work responsibilities and maybe taking it different less stressful role. We are still in our current house as Reagan has a couple more years at at Amanda high school Amelia will be figuring out which direction she will go in the short term but we'll have it an idea of which college she will like to attend. I will feel terrific in that I know I can support her and give her all of the options that she deserves and she will not have to completely worry about the basics for living and she can concentrate on what she wants to study and what activities she wants to pursue in college. She will however have to have responsibility and a job to understand responsibility. I rely on the fact that she will have the opportunity to not have to worry about whether or not she can participate in certain events in school because of a lack of money like I did. The boat is running terrifically because there has been money for upkeep there is no stress about whether or not I will be bothered during the day as I know my team can handle the company. Park and roofs has evolved and grown to the company that I had hoped with revenues close to 10 million any strong bottom line of 15 to 20% net revenue we have built this because of the marketing and unique structure that I envisioned five years ago to build a reoccurring revenue model built on relationships and the higher level of service to our cherished clientele. Our idea of maintenance and asset management through our roofing service has worked and we are set to be structured for a strong buyout. All of these things have given me the freedom today to relax and be present with my family as we choose our day's activities My day is free business obligations I have made some investments which also give me comfort I am not stressed about making payroll tomorrow on a Friday and my team handles all of that for my employees. I have been happy that I went on the journey to get myself back in shape I feel far more energy and I'm thankful I took the time five years ago to finally invest back in myself. The girls are now old enough in there routines so I have had time for myself again and it has paid off to get myself back into almost as good of shape as I was in my late 20s. I am grateful of the fact that five years ago what I felt was the bottom of the company's existence we were able to recover with the help of our team grow to my goal that was set five years ago and be able to set my next five year goal. I'm thankful I took the mentorship and investment in creating the systems to be implemented within the company and build the team that all believe in the same common goal and I'm happy to say that everyone is doing the best they ever have for themselves and their families. It was always my goal to build this organization so that everybody would do well I feel comfort in the fact that I have been able to provide that for not only my family with the families of all of our team members. It has always been my goal to make my family proud of what I have done and built and I can finally say that I'm proud of myself for outlasting others and keeping my head down to achieve the goals I've set out for myself not only within the business but the goals that I had known were in me 30 years ago. I now have the freedom to use my time to explore higher level business opportunities for the company develop terrific relationships driving business and helping others along the way. Charity has always been at the foundation of my goals for the company. I have always said I want the company to do well so we can do good and I'm happy to say that we have been able to align ourselves with the veteran's charities that we set out to support. This is the way that I feel I can serve our country is by not only creating wealth in the company to help support charities but more importantly to free up my time to dedicate to the charities I wish to participate with my family has also been come able to participate with our chosen veterans causes and I'm thankful for that Five years ago things were definitely tough due to stress which affected my marriage I am happy to say that the concerted effort was made to work on my marriage through more time being present even through difficult times and just saying yes to opportunities that come our way regardless of the timing. I have always said that take the time now you never know in the future and I'll be damned if I don't try to experience and enjoy everything that comes my way and every opportunity that is in front of me today. I've continued this mantra and have lived it every day the best that I can be while trying to build for the future as well. I have found it deeper relationship with faith that has created more calm in my life and less chaos but I've also learned on my own that things were always worked out for the best when you have good intentions. Life is interesting in that way and I already see that now as I did five years ago when it really started to dawn on me that even if I stress out it doesn't help anything as please just have a way of fitting into place and working out in you put the time effort and work into it ohh really. I'm so thankful that I took the last five years and I have my time now going forward to dedicate to my parents and my brother. Thanks so thankful of that stuff has now been out of the Coast Guard for four years and has moved back to Southern California so we can all enjoy our family these years boating together again has been terrific. Good job Brett for listen to the higher power to take the lessons that we've learned by having the business turned upside down losing credit lines having to negotiate to maintain business relationships to seek out help to accept the help to learn from others and mentors that have helped we get the business to this point so that this day today in Carolina it's the best thing I've ever had my family. Brett you deserve it it's not been easy but damn it's been worth it we're finally here now let's keep it growing and set up a legacy for our family now I'm gonna go jump in the water great thank you
