Through the first prayer guide, what did you experience (fear, excitement, hesitancy etc) when invited to sit at the table with The Sovereign One and know you’re not alone?

Sometimes, it’s easy to think that there’s supposed to be a major memory or moment to work through. Some of us still go back to experiences that happened decades ago. But God is active today, and in the last 24 hours. And the things that seem insignificant to us, but take effect all the more on our hearts or subconscious, are things he desires to meet us in, talk about, and hear from us. Ultimate Hod is willing to shed light on what we are willing to discover has been in the dark. What memory did God invite you to look at with him?

“Stillness is its own form of perception. It allows us to know things that can never be known under any other circumstances. It allows us to know the ground of our being — the I AM.” This is from David Benner’s book, Opening to God. I thought it so fitting for day 1 of the challenge. Question: What have you come to know through stillness today? Of yourself? Of God?

To start the Challenge, go to the Classroom and look up the 7-Day Faith Challenge. This has some inro videos, 5 prayer practices and 5 questions. I created these for practicing listening, slowing down, and using prayer to hear God's voice, as opposed to the normal prayer requests format. We'll be having a live call at the end of the month to discuss the experience you had through it, and until then, I'll be posting questions for discussion based off of the 7-Day challenge. Hello!! For the amazing few that are a part of The Faith Experiment thus far, thank you! Thank you for your patience and grace as I figure out what’s next. I’d like to run a 7-day challenge together in the month of January. I trust each of your thoughts and insight and need some feedback on the daily prayer meditation and questions. Since we’re all in different time zones, we can keep the discussion, feedback and experience of it to this thread (and hopefully have one zoom call at the end of it together). Would you respond on this thread with your available dates and time (meaning afternoon, or evening), and timezone, for one call, probably no more than an hour.
