Wow everyone! This Eclipse energy is intense - how is everyone feeling? I’m personally feeling motivated yet my head is *in the clouds*

Hi friends!!! Just popping in to share something that feels really tender and special to my heart today. I’m sharing a piece of art my 5 year old daughter created, and I swear lately I have watched something awaken in her. The way she draws, paints, writes, dances… it’s like she is discovering little pieces of herself in real time. She is currently in the middle of writing her very first song because she says one day she is going to be on American Idol. The confidence. The vision. The certainty. I just sit back in awe of her. Yesterday she asked me if she could paint while watching the newest episode. Of course I said yes. About ten minutes later she came walking back to me holding her masterpiece with the biggest, proudest smile on her face. She said, “This is me on my way to Hollywood to sing my song Sister by Sister.” If you know her story, that title alone carries weight. She does not see her half sister often because of her absent father. There are layers there that a five year old should not have to carry. And yet somehow, instead of focusing on what is missing, she paints herself walking toward her dreams. Toward a stage. Toward bright lights. Toward possibility. What could look like a simple painting made by a little girl is, to me, a glimpse into her heart. It is resilience. It is hope. It is longing wrapped in imagination. It is a child choosing beauty and vision over circumstances she cannot control. Art is such a sacred doorway. It allows children to process what they do not yet have words for. It connects them to something higher, something divine, something honest. Sometimes the artist tells you the story. Sometimes the story lives quietly in the colors and shapes and movement. Either way, there is always more than meets the eye. And I will forever cherish the fact that in her world, she is already chasing her dreams 😭🫶🏽✨
