You ask Claude to build a dashboard, a tracker, or a report — and it creates a live interactive page inside your workspace that you can reopen any time. Instead of a one-time answer, it continues to pull live data.
Here is why this is so useful: if your data lives in an external tool, a property management platform, a CRM, Google Spreadsheet or Excel file, and that tool has an MCP connector, Claude can access that data directly. An MCP connector is essentially a bridge that lets Claude talk to the tools you already use, meaning the data in your Live Artifact updates straight from the source. You're no longer logging into multiple portals and copying numbers by hand.
This is my Airbnb portfolio dashboard. Revenue, occupancy, bookings, platform split, month-over-month comparison, all in one place. The data pulls from my property management platform (Hospitable).
Instead of bouncing between platforms, you can now view whats important to you without leaving Claude.
𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁:
- Your pipeline from your CRM.
- Custom databases from Notion.
- Website traffic from your analytics tool.
- Social media metrics from your tracking platforms.
- Annual and quarterly goal progress from your tracking dashboards.
- Team task completion from your project management system.
- Financial metrics from your accounting software.
Anything you currently log into somewhere to check—if that tool has an MCP connector (just ask AI if it does), it can live in one dashboard you build once. MCP connectors already exist for most major tools like Google Sheets, Notion, HubSpot, and others, and setup takes a few minutes inside Claude's settings.
Build the view once. Let it pull the data. Stop logging in everywhere.
What is the first dashboard you’d want to build to stop checking three different tabs?
Drop your ideas, or better yet, drop a screenshot of the Live Artifact you build in the comments below so we can all share different ways to use this.
