The real battle isn’t out there. It’s in your mind.
I’m reading a book called The War of Art and I’m reminded that the real enemy to our progress isn’t lack of talent… it’s resistance. Resistance shows up as hesitation. As overthinking. As “I’ll start tomorrow.” As telling yourself you need one more tutorial, one more plan, one more perfect moment. But the truth is, resistance doesn’t show up when something doesn’t matter. Resistance shows up when you’re getting close to the thing that could change your life. So if you feel the pull to procrastinate today…If your mind is trying to talk you out of learning something new…If you're convincing yourself you’re not ready yet… Good. That’s the signal. That means you’re right on the edge of growth. Instead of trying to defeat resistance in one big heroic moment, do what actually works: Show up for one small action. Learn one thing. Try one messy draft. Take one uncomfortable step. You don’t need to win the war today. You just need to win this moment. Because motion breaks resistance. Momentum quiets the fear. And once you start, everything gets easier. So ask yourself: What is the one simple thing you can do today...right now...that Resistance doesn’t want you to do? Do that. Post it below. Let’s make today the day we move forward anyway.
Overwhelmed Mom Life Audit Prompt
Hey friends. I've been playing around with this and thought I would share this prompt for you to try out. It could probably work for more than just overwhelmed moms; that was just how I was framing things. Disclaimer: I am brand new to prompt creation on this level, so no guarantees. The "Overwhelmed Mom" Life Audit Prompt Copy and paste the text below into an AI assistant (like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) to get a personalized Life Operating System. Fill in the [bracketed] information with your specific details. PROMPT STARTS HERE I need you to act as my expert Productivity Guru and Life Coach. I am an overwhelmed mom trying to balance running a household, [working/other major responsibility], and maintaining my own well-being without burning out. I need a realistic, sustainable Life Operating System. Not just a rigid schedule that breaks the first time a kid gets sick, but a flexible routine that helps me focus on what matters, tames the chaos, and ensures I don't lose myself in the process. Use principles from "Atomic Habits" (habit stacking), "Getting Things Done" (brain dumping/capturing), and "The 7 Habits" (prioritizing big rocks first). Here are my details. Please analyze them, ask me clarifying questions to find my blind spots, and then help me build a routine I can actually stick to. 1. My "Big Rocks" (Non-Negotiables) These are the things that MUST happen for me to feel like a human and for my family to be okay. - [e.g., Sleep 7 hours, Daily Prayer/Meditation, Feeding the kids, School drop-off at 8 AM] - ... 2. My Daily Load Things I try to do every single day. - Self-Care: [e.g., Shower, get dressed, 30 min exercise] - Household: [e.g., Dishes, one load of laundry, tidy living room before bed] - Relational: [e.g., Read to toddler, 15 mins connecting with husband] - Work/Other: [e.g., Check emails for 20 mins] 3. My Weekly Rhythms Things that happen once or a few times a week. - Work Hours: [e.g., Mon/Wed/Fri from 9am-2pm] - Fixed Events: [e.g., Church on Sunday 10am, Soccer practice Tue/Thu 4pm] - Chores to Distribute: [e.g., Groceries, deep cleaning bathrooms, mowing lawn, paying bills]

What You Can Try Today with AI: Transcribing
I had a little bit of technical difficulty (the platform I was using had some adjustments, and I didn't consistently navigate from screen to screen 🫣), but I still thought it would be a great training to share since so many people don't know that transcription is possible with AI. Feel free to use the "gear" at the bottom to speed up the video and if this was something new for you, I would love to hear in the comments.
