99% RESPONSE RATE: Easiest and most effective outreach method
Alright guys,
Just wanted to leave these photos here to demonstrate how I used one of Tyson’s outreach methods to book a call today!
This is the bait and switch method he teaches in the outreach course, and it’s 100% one of my favourite ways to find clients.
I’ll break down this method in case some of you newer guys aren’t familiar with it yet…
(It’s a bit of a long read, but absolutely worth it if you guys actually WANT TO FIND CLIENTS EASILY)
So here it is…
So when you’ve found your prospect on IG, spark up a conversation that has nothing to do with copywriting/offering them work etc - just compliment them for example.
(replying to their stories is easier too, feels more casual)
Try and start the conversation by inquiring about THEIR product/service.
Doing this makes them think that you’re a customer who’s looking to buy whatever it is they’re selling.
(Even though you haven’t technically said that!)
This is the “Bait”.
Because they think you want to buy something, they will respond to you literally 100% of the time because there is money in it for them.
They will never, ever, ever ignore you (unless they just don't see the message).
Now you should already have a couple of messages back and forth, so they’re much more likely to keep the conversation going.
The ball is already rolling…
Now there’s the important part - the switch.
You need to very casually switch the topic of conversation to something to do with how you can help them/provide for them.
(in the pics, this is where I ask him if he uses any email marketing or just IG)
The smoother and cleaner you can do this the better. Do it wrong and it’s going to feel jarring for them.
You want it to seem like a conversation between acquaintances, NOT a sales pitch.
Focus on making this part smooth and seamless.
Last step is you want to let them know you *think* you can help them out. (Do not claim you 100% can, and start making outlandish claims without knowing anything about their business first).
Just say your think you can help them, but not certain just yet.
Maybe give them a little bit of info to get their interest, but don’t give away too much - save it for the call!
Finally you want to convince them to hop on a call with you, so you have a longer discussion about what you can provide for them etc.
This call is where you’ll close the deal.
Hopefully this example will show you guys how to actually take the lessons you learn in here and apply them!
