14/31 August Challenge
46 straight days of getting some kind of workout in. Some days I’m motivated, some days I’m tired, some days life is just kicking my ass 😂…but the streak continues. Day 47 tomorrow! Keep getting after it!

Whoop Band
I hope everyone is having an awesome day! Just picked up this whoop band last week because I wanted to start being more strategic about my recovery and how everything is affecting my body and sleep patterns. Does anyone have any tips to get the most out of it? It’s the Whoop 5.0 MG Life.

Still getting it done even though life has been a little chaotic lately. Was able to sneak out on my wife’s birthday and get a run in. Bad thing was strained my calf at some point. Been getting my workouts in, stayed active, but have absolutely neglected stretching/mobility. Lesson learned for sure.

Skipped running yesterday morning due to a left calf issue, so instead of pushing through it, I switched to a 50-minute treadmill walk at incline that didn’t fire up the calf.Got back in the gym in afternoon for a back and biceps workout. For me, consistency doesn’t always mean doing exactly what was planned. So many times I’ve had to pivot and find a way to get the work done.

Got an hour ruck in but only finished with just over 10,500 steps. Didn’t get as many steps as I wanted, but still got the work done and stayed on track with nutrition. Last minute the family wanted to go out to dinner. Ended up at PF Chang’s. I was already pretty close to my macros so I had a protein shake and built bar before we left and just had a couple diet cokes at dinner. The work that I’m putting in and noticeable changes I’m seeing wasn’t worth the “cheat meal” and man did they try hard in a loving way to get me to have “just have one bite” of everything lol. They are SUPER supportive but said they felt bad for me. I said why feel bad when I feel great. It’s crazy how we normalize drinking alcohol and eating bad and have to justify when we avoid those things.
