Tai Chi Loops - Form Opening / Hold The Ball
Here are a couple of simple opening movements to play with.
The first is often called "Opening the Door".
Maybe it's a garage door? As you sink your weight down, the hands float up. As you rise up, the hands drop.
The second is called "Holding the Ball" or "Embracing the Moon".
Think of holding a yoga ball or beach ball. There is a roundness to the position and the ball is three dimensional. If you were holding the moon, it would be heavy and you would sink from the weight.
