☁👋 On the 12th Day of Cloud Hands...
We get another perspective.
There are many "styles" of Tai Chi.
All have the same aim...
But have a different way of looking at some things.
The Cloud Hands we've looked at thus far...
Would fall more in line with "Yang Style".
But today, this is "Chen Style".
What differences do you notice?
On the 1st DAY we played with the movement of the hands and arms.
On the 2nd DAY we added some substance and structure.
On the 3rd DAY we turned the Kwa (Pelvis) and shifted the weight.
On the 4th DAY we brought it all together.
"One part moves, all parts move."
On the 5th DAY, we refined with "separate and combine."
On the 6th DAY, we looked at some details by breaking the circles into parts.
On the 7th DAY, we focused on the breath.
On the 8th DAY, we began to look at the flow of Qi.
On the 9th DAY, we "felt" what's going on within.
Don't think, FEEL.
On the 10th DAY, we expanded the picture with some martial applications.
On the 11th DAY, we dug in to intent and awareness.
Today, on the 12th Day, we look at "Chen Style" Cloud Hands.
Remember to go with the FLOW.
Float thru the practice...
Float thru the day.😎
ENJOY playing in the clouds.☁️🙏
P.S.
There is no rush and there are no rules.
You can stay on the first video for a week or run through all of them in a day.
I've dripped them out this way to give everyone a little time to practice each one and let it sink in both mentally and physically.
Muscle memory and feeling your body has more to do with what we're doing here than mental memorization.
The more you practice the smoother it will become and the less you'll have to think about it.
So the best bet (as with most things) is to practice as often as you can (a few minutes everyday is usually better than an hour once a week) and to revisit videos like these over and over again as you build this practice into your body.
The goal here isn't to "do Cloud Hands", it's to understand the principles involved in order to integrate them into your body because that body is with you in everything you do throughout your daily life.
P.P.S. don't worry too much about "Qi" in the beginning, that will come with practice.
