Misconception: "you can't teach speed"
Coaches and many others have often said "you either got it, or you don't".
Most athletes aren’t training the right way to even know they can be taught how to improve their speed.
If an athlete runs with intention at max velocity as frequent as they can at least once a week with proper rest periods, they will get faster.
Speed can be taught, but it has to be specific to see a gradual increase in max velocity.
