Write the handoff sentence before the call to action
Write the handoff sentence before the call to action. A lot of affiliate promos go straight from excitement to the link. That can work, but it often creates a tiny trust gap: the reader does not know what will happen after they click. Before your CTA, add one handoff sentence that tells them exactly what they are about to see and why it matches the reason you brought it up. Quick pass: 1. Open the sales page, checkout page, demo page, webinar page, waitlist page, or free training page. 2. Write the main reason someone would click. 3. Write what the next page actually asks them to do. 4. Write one sentence that connects those two things. 5. Put that sentence right before your link. 6. Remove any hype that the next page does not immediately support. Examples: - If the next page is a demo, say they can watch the workflow before buying. - If the next page is a webinar, say it is a training or registration page, not the product checkout. - If the next page is a sales letter, say they can review the full offer, proof, pricing, and guarantee there. - If the next page is a free tool or lead magnet, say what they get first and what might be offered afterward. - If the next page is a checkout, do not pretend it is just an info page. Simple handoff shapes: "The next page walks through ______, so look for ______ before deciding." "If this is the problem you are trying to solve, the page explains ______ and shows ______." "This link goes to the full offer page, so check the examples, terms, and fit before buying." "This starts with a free training, then they will likely pitch ______, so go in knowing that." First action today: take one email, post, or DM promo you already planned to send and add one handoff sentence before the link. Then read it out loud. If the sentence makes the click feel clearer and calmer, keep it. The goal is not to make the promo longer. The goal is to make the click feel less slippery.

Use today's launches to write the wrong-buyer line. When you scan IM Launch Board / IMLaunchBoard and improductoftheday.com, do not only ask, "Who would buy this?" Ask the harder question first: "Who should skip this?" That one line can clean up your whole affiliate promo because it stops you from pitching every AI tool, PLR pack, traffic training, reels bundle, funnel builder, SEO analyzer, or affiliate automation product like it is for everyone. Open: - https://imlaunchboard.com/ - https://improductoftheday.com/ Then pick 3-5 launches from today or the next few days. You may see categories like AI tools, PLR/white-label packs, affiliate marketing trainings, SaaS/software offers, video/reels assets, SEO/reporting tools, funnel systems, ecommerce kits, prompt packs, or list-building offers. For each launch, write these four lines before you write the promo: 1. This is mainly for ______. 2. This is not for ______. 3. The buyer must already have or be willing to do ______. 4. I would avoid promoting the claim that ______. Examples: - AI tool: not for someone who refuses to review and edit output. - PLR pack: not for someone who wants a finished brand with no customization. - Traffic training: not for someone who will not pick one traffic source and test it. - Reels bundle: not for someone who needs exclusive creative rights. - Funnel tool: not for someone who has no offer, no opt-in, and no follow-up plan. - SEO analyzer: not for someone expecting instant rankings from a report. Simple promo shape: "This looks useful for ______, especially if you already have ______. I would skip it if ______. Before buying, check ______ so you know it fits your situation." First action today: open IMLaunchBoard and IMPOTD, choose three offers, and write the wrong-buyer line for each before checking the commission. Promote the one where you can clearly say who should skip it. A clear "not for you if..." line does not kill sales. It keeps the wrong clicks from turning into refunds, confused buyers, and weak trust later.
